CenturyLink Inc. has convinced a Missouri appeals court to overturn a $55 million award to the cities of Columbia and Joplin for unpaid license taxes.
The trial court misconstrued the cities’ ordinances when it held that all gross revenue and receipts attributable to CenturyLink and related companies’ business in each city were taxable, the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District ruled Tuesday.
