Xavier Worthy, a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs and a former Texas football star, filed a civil lawsuit Monday against his ex-fiancee, whom he accuses of making false assault allegations, pulling out his hair and destroying or stealing $150,000 of his property.
Worthy, 21, was arrested March 7 outside of Austin after the woman accused him of violently assaulting her in a Georgetown home they shared.
No charges were filed after further investigation, Williamson County District Attorney Shawn Dick said earlier this month, but that could change if more evidence is brought forward.
A judge granted the woman a temporary restraining order against Worthy on March 12. The American-Statesman does not name alleged victims of domestic assault or abuse without their consent. .
Although Worthy has not been charged with a crime, the NFL could discipline him for misconduct. Neither the NFL nor the Chiefs have responded to previous Statesman requests for comment about a potential investigations
Worthy on Monday also requested a protective order against the woman, according to court records.
In his lawsuit, Worthy's alleges the woman made false accusations in order to claim half ownership of his $2 million Georgetown house.
