China has removed all medical advertisements on national television channels containing false claims as of the end of March, the National Radio and Television Administration said on Thursday.
The regulator said the move followed a national campaign launched in August to address misleading medical promotions.
According to a statement published on its website, the campaign targeted false claims, including exaggerations and misleading promotional content.
Authorities said they would continue to monitor the situation going forward.
