City boosts hourly wages - Moorpark Acorn

PAY HIKE—In addition to a mandated minimum wage increase, the City of Moorpark will increase all other hourly employees’ pay rates.The City of Moorpark’s hourly wage earners will all soon receive a bump in pay.
In order to comply with a 2016 state law requiring employers with 26 or more workers to raise the minimum wage rate to account for inflation, the city will increase its minimum pay to $15.50 an hour by the new year, a 50-cent hourly bump.
