City law firm expands team to help firms bracing for Labour's changes - EDP24

A law firm has expanded its employment law team in Norwich to support businesses bracing for an influx of new employment legislation.

Howes Percival has appointed James Conley at its office in Bedding Lane to help firms navigate the government's Employment Rights Act.

The new law strengthens protections for workers, bringing reforms to areas including zero-hours contracts, unfair dismissal and sick pay.

Mr Conley is originally from Norwich and has a decade of experience working in legal services in the region.

He advises on a range of employment law matters, focusing on complex employment law issues, employment tribunal litigation and corporate support on employment issues arising from merger and acquisition activity.

Mr Conley also spent a number of years working in the sport industry, acting for Premier League and Championship football clubs and motorsport teams in Formula One, Two and Three.
