One social media user shared a post stating: “JUST IN: An Iranian delegation led by Abbas Araghchi and Bagher Ghalibaf has arrived in Islamabad for talks. U.S. Vice President JD Vance, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner are expected to arrive in Islamabad within the next few hours.”

To verify the claim, the team reviewed coverage from Iranian news agencies, including Tasnim News Agency and Mehr News Agency. Both outlets, quoting informed sources, categorically denied that any Iranian delegation had arrived in Islamabad for talks with U.S. officials.

According to Tasnim News Agency, “Reports by some media outlets that the Iranian negotiating team has reached Islamabad, Pakistan, to hold talks with the Americans are completely false,” an informed source stated. The source further emphasized that negotiations remain suspended as long as the United States does not fulfill its commitments regarding a ceasefire in Lebanon and Israeli attacks continue.
