Coca-Cola Canada is discontinuing frozen products — affecting jobs at its Minute Maid facility in Peterborough.
“With the juice category growing strongly, we’re focusing on products that better match what our consumers want,” the beverage giant said in a statement to Global News.
The production change is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2025. Career support services will reportedly be given to impacted staff.
Kelly Tosato, president of United Food and Commercial Workers (USCW) Local 175, said the move “will have a significant impact on [affected] workers and their community.”
