Collin County DA to address sexual harassment, retaliation allegations - The Dallas Morning News

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis is expected to hold a news conference Wednesday afternoon to address allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation against him by six current and former employees.

The 75-page lawsuit filed in federal court last month says Willis repeatedly made untoward comments, inappropriately touched and propositioned female employees. A news release Wednesday morning says Willis will “release factual evidence that clearly debunks the plaintiff’s false claims.” He has denied the accusations against him.

The lawsuit also alleges Willis’ top prosecutor, First Assistant District Attorney Bill Wirskye, fostered a toxic workplace. County officials — including County Judge Chris Hill and the four commissioners named in the suit — were complicit in covering up the systemic misconduct, the lawsuit alleges.

The office’s chief and deputy chief investigators, as well three former employees and a current prosecutor, lodged the accusations against the county’s two highest-ranking prosecutors, top official and commissioners Darrell Hale, Susan Fletcher, Cheryl Williams and Duncan Webb. They also filed complaints with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Texas Workforce Commission, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.

Willis denied the allegations in a written statement after the lawsuit was filed, saying “they did not happen.”
