To do your best work in law school and prepare for your legal career, all students need to take care of their mental health and well-being. Below is a list of mental health and wellness resources within your reach that can help you succeed.

  • Annual Orientation Session on Professional Identity Formation, including Wellness for Law Students, held each August
  • Massachusetts Bar Association and the SJC Standing Committee on Lawyer Well-Being Annual Presentation on Law Student Wellness and Well-Being in Law School, held each September
  • Annual presentation by the Executive Director, Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners, Kandace Kukas, Esq., held each October
  • Annual Professionalism Workshop with discussion of wellnesss
  • Student Bar Association Wellness Week, held each semester
  • Academic Fellows Program
    • Peer Assistance Program for first-year students
    • Fellows’ Workshop on student wellness before final exams
  • Annual UMass Counseling Center Presentation on Law Student Well-Being and Mental Health
  • Weekly Meditation led by UMass Law faculty members
