Chhattisgarh BJP President Vishnudeo Sai on Tuesday said the Congress party is intolerant towards those who speak openly on the issue of corruption in the government.
Reacting to the expulsion of a former member of the State Youth Commission for six years, he said he had raised his voice against the corruption by a Congress MLA.
Instead of taking initiative to stop it, speaking against corruption was considered indiscipline and he was thrown out of the party, Sai said.
Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee President Mohan Markam on Monday expelled Ajay Singh, a former Secretary of PCC, for six years for being allegedly involved in anti-party activities.
Sai said several states are now coming up with toll free numbers to register complaints against corruption.
But in Chhattisgarh, protection is being provided to an MLA involved in corruption, he said.
