New requirements for contractor labor practices, improvements to federal and defense supply chains, and increased opportunities for small businesses are all part of the House-passed annual defense policy bill.
The House approved the following contractor-related provisions as amendments to H.R. 7900, the fiscal 2023 National Defense Authorization Act. The chamber passed the final version July 14.
The Senate now must act on its own version of the must-pass measure. Some of these largely noncontroversial provisions could be incorporated into the Senate bill or added during a House-Senate conference committee later in the year.
