A council candidate has spoken out after fake graphics were shared which claimed she had ‘fallen out with her husband’.
Fajjla Patel is standing as an Independent in the forthcoming council elections in the Daisyfield and Bastwell ward. She is the wife of Little Harwood councillor Tiger Patel.

A graphic being shared on WhatsApp includes a picture of Mrs Patel and claims her husband was ‘splitting votes’ and 'sold her to the Labour party', tells people ‘not to trust him nor Labour’, and alleges that Reform was being used as an excuse.

Mrs Patel said this type of content would not distract her.
She said: “I am aware of the recent media coverage. I want to be clear. I stand for honesty, service, and our community. I will not be distracted by noise or negativity.

“My focus remains on the real issues affecting people in Bastwell and Daisyfield.”
