Coupang Sued for Firing Alleged Whistleblower Over Iranian Deals - Bloomberg Law

Korean e-commerce retailer Coupang Inc., which is publicly traded company in the US, was sued in federal court by a former employee alleging that he was fired because of his whistleblower activities.

Philip Smith, who was hired to be Coupang’s Senior Director and Head of Anti-Money Laundering Compliance in Korea, alleges that his firing violated the federal Sarbanes-Oxley Act and California and Washington law.
