(NewsNation) — UFO whistleblower David Grusch has described the disappearance of a retired Air Force major general with extensive knowledge of UFOs as “concerning,” according to a professional colleague.

William Neil McCasland, 68, was reported missing after leaving his Albuquerque, N.M., home on foot Feb. 27, according to local authorities, who have teamed up with the FBI to find the former military official.
Veteran television producer Miguel Sancho joined NewsNation to discuss the deaths and disappearance of several U.S. scientists with classified government knowledge.
Grusch “does find the McCasland case, which is kind of a granddaddy; he considered that very concerning,” Sancho told NewsNation on Tuesday.
The disappearance of McCasland was described as a “grave national security crisis” by NewsNation’s Ross Coulthart.
During his tenure in the Air Force, McCasland oversaw classified space weapons programs and was head of research at Wright Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio, Coulthart notes. That facility has long been rumored to house fragments of extraterrestrial debris from a UFO crash in Roswell, N.M.
President Trump announced last week files about UFOs would be released soon, but that has done little to stop the spread of the theories.
