HR software management firm Deel Inc. is asking a federal court in San Francisco to dismiss Rippling’s corporate espionage lawsuit against it, claiming its chief competitor’s conspiracy claims have no legitimate basis and run afoul of free speech protections.
Deel’s lawyers say Rippling was trying to deflect attention away from itself after an Irish subsidiary’s employee leaked documents to the press purporting to show that Rippling facilitated payments to sanctioned jurisdictions, including Russia.
