SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A Utah County judge dismissed a civil lawsuit against two Lehi women filed by a registered child sex offender its entirety today bringing potential closure to a yearlong protracted legal battle that cost them tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees to defend themselves.
Scott Weight, Paul Bryant’s attorney filed suit against Rhonda Feuz and Megan Stewart on October 10, 2022, in Fourth Judicial District Court alleging the defendant’s used information from the sex offender registry to harass and stalk Bryant and knowingly made false claims to Lehi Police investigators about his conduct in their homeowner’s association.
At the time of his filing the civil lawsuit, Bryant was President of his homeowner’s association, the Walk at Ivory Ridge in Lehi where both women live.
On March 15, 2022, Feuz says her grandchildren were in the HOA park and said her five-year old granddaughter came inside and said, “There’s a man out there with a big black dog.” Feuz says she immediately dropped what she was doing and looked out the window and saw Bryant and says she went outside and yelled at her other grandchildren to get back in the house. At that point, she says Bryant either waved at her or her grandchildren. She says she knew he was a registered sex offender and should not be around children. Both contacted Lehi Police and reports were taken. That triggered a criminal investigation which was conducted by Lehi Police Sergeant Jeff Smith.
