What Is a Protection From Abuse Order?

A protection from abuse order is an order of court prohibiting the defendant from speaking or interacting with the plaintiff or plaintiffs. This order is issued and signed by a Court of Common Pleas judge after the plaintiff files a protection from abuse petition.
