Denial of Any Link Between Detainees in the U.S. and Qassem Soleimani - WANA News Agency

WANA (Apr 04) – The daughter of Qassem Soleimani has rejected claims by the U.S. State Department regarding a connection between individuals detained in the United States and Soleimani’s family, describing the allegations as “false.”

Zeinab Soleimani wrote in a post on the Virasty platform: “The individuals detained in the United States have no relation to Qassem Soleimani, and the claims made by the U.S. State Department are untrue.”

She criticized the allegations, stating: “They have become so weak and desperate that, by spreading falsehoods about a prominent figure like Qassem Soleimani—whose very name they fear—they are attempting to divert global public opinion from their failures against the Iranian people.”

She further added: “Their inability to confront the Iranian people has led them to shift their objective from regime change to fabricating news and spreading false claims about Soleimani’s family.”

Earlier, the U.S. State Department had alleged that two members of Soleimani’s family had their permanent residency revoked and were detained in the United States—claims that have now been denied by the family.
