The Crittenden County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday, June 9, that the West Helena residents each face a felony charge of filing a false police report and a felony charge of criminal mischief after detectives uncovered what investigators described as a staged collision.
Surveillance video captured the incident, which took place in Horseshoe Lake.
During a search of the vehicles involved, deputies said they discovered a stolen firearm, narcotics, and drug paraphernalia.

The three suspects were scheduled to appear in West Memphis District Court on Wednesday for arraignment.
