A Derbyshire care home has been put into special measures after a whistleblower spoke out.
Belper Views Residential Home, in Holbrook Road, Belper, has been told it needs to improve after the healthcare watchdog found there were not enough staff to look after residents properly.
Staffing levels were one of a number of issues raised in a report, by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), published in November.
The CQC says other areas of concern included the training received by staff, how the home deals with safeguarding concerns, and infection prevention and control.
According to the report, inspectors were called into the home in late September and early October this year after the CQC "received whistleblower concerns in relation to management and staffing".
As a result of its findings the home's rating was downgraded from "requires improvement" to "inadequate", and it was placed into special measures.
The inspectors said: "Staffing levels were not sufficient to meet the needs of people using the service. At the time of the inspection, three staff were scheduled during the day to support 18 people.
"We identified seven people who required support from two staff with moving and handling or personal care needs. This left only one member of staff to support anyone else who required assistance.
