COST SAVING TIPS FROM A NOTTINGHAM & HUCKNALL BASED DIRECT ACCESS BARRISTER

Introduction

I have written this article to help people understand the processes they need to go through in order to bring a claim at an Employment Tribunal, whilst minimising legal costs.

Invariably, most people at some stage during their careers will encounter an unpleasant experience with their employer and in plenty of cases, that will result in a legal issue. Generally speaking, I find people simply want to know the procedures needed to resolve an employment dispute, without the need to expend high legal costs.

No doubt, the law can be rather confusing and even the best of us can become overwhelmed and intimidated by sophisticated legal terminology and procedures, but having been a Teacher of Law and coming from a working-class background, I am keen to educate the general public on how to achieve access to justice, easily and more cost effectively, especially in light of the cost-of-living crisis we currently find ourselves in.

Common Complaints in Employment Law

I usually hear from clients when they have already spent a significant amount of money on their case, without much progress; often spending 150 to 350 per hour for legal advice, without understanding where their money has been spent and feeling extremely upset and frustrated.
