District court judge rules in favor of collegiate organization whistleblower - crossroadstoday.com

VICTORIA, Texas - A woman battling an injunction submitted by a collegiate organization earned a legal victory after a judge ordered to dissolve the Temporary Restraining Order.

Victoria College alumna Toni Marek is fighting with her former organization, the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, to release a book revealing details of she claims is wrongdoing and questionable policies.

PTK submitted a request for an injunction that was accepted by a Victoria County judge. The Temporary Restraining Order prevented Marek from releasing her book until PTK could review it and potentially order more TRO's to have her remove information they deem confidential.

On Tuesday, April 8, Marek's legal counsel claimed the actions by PTK functioned as 'prior restraint' and was unconstitutional.

The judge ordered in favor of Marek, allowing her to publish the book as she wishes.

There isn't a new release date for the book as Marek says she will add more information to the book before releasing.
