District of Columbia Minimum Wage Rising to $17 on July 1 - Bloomberg Tax

The District of Columbia’s minimum wage will rise to $17 from $16.10 effective July 1, according to a Feb. 14 public notice issued by the district’s Office of Wage Hour.

The district updated its minimum wage poster to reflect the increase.

The minimum wage for tipped employees will rise twice in 2023. Effective May 1, the hourly minimum wage will rise to $6 from $5.35; effective July 1, it will increase a second time to $8. These increases are also reflected in the updated poster.
