Mick Gordon, musician known for his use of extended-range guitars and making music for "Doom" and "Doom Eternal" videogames, shared a pretty lengthy post on Medium regarding his work for id Software. The said post reflects on a pretty complicated situation involving deadline issues and what seem to be unpaid fees for his efforts.

In March 2020, "Doom Eternal" OST was released and the game's fans noticed that something was off regarding its mix. It all started unraveling when Marty Stratton, who is id Software's executive producer, shared a Reddit post that same year regarding the matter. At the time, Mick Gordon refused to make any detailed comments except that he poured "heart and soul" into the game's music.
The said Reddit post, or Marty's "open letter," pretty much blamed Mick for the issue and claimed that the company was worried about his ability to hit deadlines. He even went on to call him "disrespectful." Mick's new post, which comes more than two years after the Reddit letter, sheds some light on the issue, accusing the company of mistreatment and withholding payments.
