A billion-dollar management advisory services set-aside contract at the Department of Veterans Affairs will end ahead of schedule amid mounting criticism of the agency’s health modernization efforts, with a replacement targeted by the end of this year.

A March 29 special notice alerted potential bidders that the VA now aims to recompete its three-year-old Integrated Healthcare Transformation contract held by service-disabled veteran-owned businesses by the end of 2023 as it simultaneously adds another $450 million to the existing vehicle’s ceiling to cover incumbent task order competitions for a year following the modification.
