A new Midtown Atlanta-based civil rights and employment law firm, Buckley Bala Wilson Mew, opened its doors for business on Feb. 1, led by managing partner Ed Buckley and including several alumni of his previous firm, Buckley Beal.

All of the firm’s name partners—Anita Bala, Ashley WIlson Clark and Thomas Mew—are Buckley Beal veterans. And each partner has experience in civil rights and employment litigation. Most notably, Buckley and Mew played key roles in the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2020 Bostock v. Clayton County decision, which held that Title VII prohibits discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.
