Elon Musk wasted little time Thursday firing back at Donald Trump after the president finally spoke out about the billionaire’s criticism of his “big beautiful bill.”
And he even took a page of Trump’s book in doing so.
Trump suggested Thursday in the Oval Office that Musk knew what was in the bill before it was passed in the House and was only upset about it because cuts EV mandates which will hurt Tesla.
Musk reshared a clip of the president’s statement on X and claimed that wasn’t true.
“False,” Musk wrote. “This bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night so fast that almost no one in Congress could even read it!”
Then, a week after Trump suggested that former President Joe Biden was executed in 2020 and replaced by clones, Musk suggested that perhaps Trump was the one who has been replaced. The billionaire shared a screen shot of Trump X posts that he retweeted to remind the president of his previous words.
“Where is the man who wrote these words?” Musk wrote. “Was he replaced by a body double!?”
