Elon Musk slams Clinton campaign for pushing false claims, asks Twitter CEO to weigh in - News3LV

WASHINGTON (TND) — In light of testimony claiming the Clinton campaign spread now-debunked information tying the Trump campaign to Russia, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk called the debacle “all true” and contemplated “what else is fake” on Twitter Friday.

Earlier this week, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, published a tweet pointing out, “Christopher Steele created the dossier. Glenn Simpson sold it to the press. Michael Sussman took it to the FBI. And Democrats and the media lied to you about it all.”

It was revealed Friday through witness testimony at the trial of former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann that Clinton personally authorized her campaign to share materials alleging Trump-Russia collusion with the media, despite members of her campaign not being “totally confident” the information was accurate.

FBI agents who later looked into the information determined the allegations were baseless, with one saying it looked like “the person who drafted this document was suffering from a mental disability.”

Friday's revelations are just the latest to come from the trial of Michael Sussmann, who allegedly lied to the FBI when he told the agency in September 2016 he was approaching them with dirt on Trump as a concerned citizen, not a paid political operative.

Musk agreed with Jordan’s assertions from earlier in the week, commenting “All true.”
