Triangle Business Journal has named Emily Massey one of 20 winners of the inaugural Triangle Law Awards. The new program recognizes outstanding attorneys across the Greater Triangle area.

Winners were selected from nominations submitted online across multiple practice areas, including banking and finance, corporate and securities, corporate (in-house) counsel, estate planning, firm executive, family law, labor and employment, life sciences, litigation, real estate, and technology. Selection was based on accomplishments over the past year, influence in key regional business sectors, and community involvement.

Based in the firm’s Raleigh office, Emily is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Employment Law. Her practice centers on helping employers stay ahead of an ever-shifting legal landscape, advising on compliance, personnel decisions, and workplace investigations, and representing clients in settlement negotiations and litigation when disputes arise. Before practicing law, she built a career in public relations, a perspective she draws on when helping clients communicate effectively with employees, leadership, and the public.
