About 10:15 this morning, dispatch sent Humboldt County Sheriff deputies to Ray’s Food Place in Garberville. The dispatcher told them that a 40-year-old male had been assaulted.
Our reporter, Lisa Music, at the scene reports that in speaking to witnesses she learned that the victim is an employee of the store and the assaulter apparently had personal motives unrelated to work that led to the assault. However, law enforcement is at the scene investigating the situation.
