Employment and labor law scholar Anne Lofaso joins College of Law faculty - University of Cincinnati

Dr. Anne Marie Lofaso, a distinguished legal scholar and academic, is widely recognized for her expertise in constitutional law, labor law and employment law. She currently serves as a professor of law at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where she teaches courses in these areas. Prior to joining the College of Law, Dr. Lofaso was the Arthur B. Hodges Professor of Law at West Virginia University College of Law, where she taught a broad range of subjects, including labor law, employment law, comparative and international labor law, jurisprudence and co-founded the WVU Supreme Court Clinic.

A prolific scholar, Dr. Lofaso’s research spans a variety of topics, including coal mine safety and health, work law jurisprudence and labor law. Her scholarship has been featured in numerous prestigious legal journals, including the Utah Law Review, West Virginia Law Review, Seattle Law Review and the Denver Law Review. She is also the author of Modern Labor Law in the Private and Public Sectors (now in its second edition) and Mastering Labor Law, both of which are among the first comprehensive textbooks in U.S. labor law to address both private and public-sector law.

In addition to her academic work, Dr. Lofaso has also served as a research associate for the Oxford Human Rights Hub Blog (OxHRBlog), where she contributed for over a decade.
