Due to on-going growth, an opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Solicitor to join our dedicated and approachable team of solicitors at our Glasgow HQ.

You will manage an established and extensive portfolio of business clients who retain JEL’s services, supporting them on the full spectrum of employment law issues as they arise as well as drafting all employment-related documentation including, but not limited to, employment contracts; policies; procedures; restrictive covenants; and settlement agreements. In doing so, you will form an integral part of our legal team comprising experienced, client-focused solicitors guided by an experienced leadership team. You will also liaise with JEL’s Head of Litigation in respect of employment tribunal and employment appeal tribunal claims.

Additionally, you will prepare and deliver training to clients; deliver in-house briefings; participate in, and on occasion, lead, group discussion; and assist with the development of junior colleagues emerging from JEL’s traineeship programme.

You will have a minimum of 3 years’ PQE and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of employment law; a commitment to delivering the highest standard of legal advice; drafting; and representation, and above all, have a “can do” approach to all levels of client care and team work.
