My favourite work story of the week involves a father undertaking a massive survey to guide his teenage daughter towards an AI-proof career. Not just any father, of course: Babith Bhoopalan is a former Microsoft executive. Anyone can download his AI and careers guide. Overall, as Babith wrote on LinkedIn, there was a pattern in his findings: “Four human superpowers AI can’t replicate: Emotional Intelligence, Creative Vision, Physical Dexterity, and Ethical Judgment.”

His conclusions led his daughter to change focus: away from financial services, where lots of entry-level jobs are being cut, towards studying international relations, as a preparation for careers in areas such as diplomacy, where human skills will endure. Read more in The Times.
