Freeths Employment team are hosting a range of webinars celebrating significant employment law anniversaries, this is the first of three webinars in which we will cover holidays and holiday pay in 2023.

On the 12th anniversary of the ECJ’s decision in Robinson-Steele v PD Retail Services in which the ECJ ruled that rolled-up holiday pay was unlawful, we will explore the persistently challenging issues around holiday and holiday pay including:

• Holiday pay for those without normal working hours
• If rolled-up holiday pay is unlawful, why is it still being used by many employers?
• Holiday entitlements of term-time workers and other part-year workers in the light of the Harpur Trust v Brazel case which suggests they are entitled to a full year’s holiday
• Holiday and sickness
• What to do when extra bank holidays are announced
• Holidays and the impact of industrial action
