Ireland's most famous employment lawyer, Richard Grogan, has sadly passed away. The news was confirmed by Lawyers Against Homelessness on Wednesday (23 November).
"Remembering our esteemed and most generous colleague Richard Grogan who gave selflessly of his time, talent and genius to the homeless. Rest in peace Richard," the group wrote.

Grogan attended Blackrock College, before attending UCD to study Law, where he obtained an Honours BCL. He qualified as a solicitor in 1979, and went on to set up his own firm in Dublin, Richard Grogan and & Associates.
In 2021, Grogan set up a TikTok account, where he shared employment law tips and answered questions from viewers.
The videos quickly exploded in popularity, amassing nearly 300,000 followers on TikTok, and over two million likes.
Viewers loved Grogan's no-nonsense approach to questions surrounding employment law, finishing each of his videos with his signature, "Now that's the law, and that's a fact!"
The Law Society is deeply saddened to learn of Council member Richard Grogan's passing.
