Kenyan singer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Esther Akoth better known as Akothee is furious at what she terms “malicious and false claims” regarding an unpaid office desk.
In a strongly worded statement shared across her social media platforms, Akothee made it clear that she is not one to entertain baseless accusations, especially when it comes to her finances and integrity.
“I work so hard for my money, therefore if you want to be part of it, deliver,” she posted.
The self-proclaimed Madam Boss, who has built a multimillion-shilling brand spanning music, hospitality, philanthropy, and tourism, did not mince her words.
She categorically denied owing anyone money and challenged those with genuine claims to follow due process.
“If there is any genuine claim, the concerned party is advised to present their official documentation, including name, business registration, and a formal complaint through the appropriate legal or business channels,” she stated. “I am a law-abiding citizen and am open to addressing any legitimate concerns, provided they are presented in the right forum.”
The post is believed to be in response to viral online chatter alleging that Akothee failed to pay for a piece of office furniture.
She also warned that legal action would be taken against anyone attempting to tarnish her name through online defamation.
