NAIROBI, Kenya, June 4 – Equity Group has stepped up efforts to stamp out conflict of interest and unethical conduct within its operations by launching a public whistleblower campaign aimed at increasing transparency and accountability.
The bank has published dedicated whistleblowing contacts on its official Facebook and X pages, urging customers and the public to confidentially report fraud, bullying, criminal activity, or sexual harassment involving its staff.
Its CEO, James Mwangi, says the initiative follows an internal audit that uncovered questionable transactions between staff and customers.
