Erez Reuveni, a former Department of Justice (DOJ) attorney, has filed a whistleblower complaint alleging that senior Trump-era DOJ officials intentionally ignored and misled federal courts to further the administration's immigration goals. Reuveni, a 14-year veteran of the DOJ, claims he was threatened, disciplined, and ultimately fired for raising concerns about these practices.
His accusations implicate key figures, including Emil Bove, the former principal assistant deputy attorney general and now a Trump nominee to the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals.
Reuveni’s Core Allegations
Reuveni says that in a meeting about deporting individuals under the Alien Enemies Act, officials, including Bove, suggested the DOJ should openly defy judicial rulings, reportedly saying they would need to tell courts “f--- you” and continue deportation flights regardless of court orders.

When Reuveni tried to confirm whether court orders had been violated, particularly regarding a national injunction blocking migrant removals, he says he was told by senior DOJ staff to “stop asking questions.” Assistant Attorney General Yakov Roth reportedly conveyed that Bove was displeased with Reuveni’s inquiries.
