D.A. to investigate claims of fraud in L.A.
Eversheds Sutherland’s Paris office has picked up a seven-lawyer employment and labor team from Bird & Bird, led by Bird’s former Paris managing partner Benjamine Fiedler.
Fiedler’s team, with partner Chris Ivey and five associates, “represents a strategic expansion of our European capabilities,” said Diane Gilhooley, the firm’s global head of employment, labor and pensions.
The team, which advises on employment-relations aspects of reorganizations, litigation, outsourcing and business transformation, expands Eversheds’ employment and labor offering to French and international clients operating in multi-jurisdictional legal environments, Eversheds said.
Fiedler arrives at Eversheds after close to 26 years at Bird & Bird, including more than eight years leading Bird’s Paris office. According to her LinkedIn profile, her practice focuses on employment aspects of M&A operations, outsourcing and corporate restructuring.
Ivey had been at Bird for close to 13 years, including 19 months as a partner. He’d spent several years for the firm based in Lyon and was a paralegal at Eversheds earlier in his career.
Eversheds is No. 39 in this year’s Global 200 rankings for revenues with $1.63 billion in global revenues for 2024. Bird is No. 91 with close to $742 million.
