TAWAU: Sabah Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) have detained a former senior manager of a government-linked company (GLC).
The 48-year-old had allegedly submitted false claims totaling RM26,500 between Nov 2017 and Jan 2018.
This claim was related to directing a vendor company to "conduct" three projects despite those works not being carried out.
According to sources, the suspect was detained at the Tawau MACC office at 10.30am today.
Meanwhile, Sabah MACC director Datuk S. Karunanithy, when contacted, confirmed the arrest.
He added those charges would be filed tomorrow against the suspect at the Special Corruption Court here.
