The video is shared on Facebook with a caption: बिहार में भाजपा के पदाधिकारी सिंदूर बांट रहे थे तो बिहार की महिलाओं ने जमकर की ठुकाई भाजपा भगाओ देश बचाओ (English version: BJP officials were distributing vermilion in Bihar, so women of Bihar beat them up. Get rid of BJP, save the country.)

A Reverse Image Search of the video’s keyframes traced it back to a post on October 25, 2020, by a Twitter account named Srinivas BV. The same video was also found on Facebook page of one Ramkrishna Mishra, posted on October 24, 2020. In that post, the incident was described as a protest by women in Muzaffarpur’s Kudhani constituency, targeting BJP MLA Kedar Prasad Gupta. As per its caption, women confronted Gupta’s campaign vehicle, tore off its posters, and forced it to leave the area.
