As they choose the next mayor of the United States’ largest city, the race pits Democratic nominee Zohran Kwame Mamdani, who won the Democratic primary earlier this year, against independent candidate and former Governor Andrew Cuomo, and perennial Republican contender Curtis Sliwa.
