Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) pracharak Indresh Kumar has strongly refuted a statement attributed to Swami Avimukteshwaranand, calling it “completely false, misleading and insulting”. He stated that in Bharat, the tradition of reverence towards saints and sannyasis has always been a matter of deep faith and the RSS holds all saints in high regard. Referring to the recent remarks, he said that invoking his name in such a manner is inappropriate and baseless.
Indresh Kumar further remarked that “false statements do not befit the dignity of saints”. He urged that, in keeping with the purity and decorum expected in social life, the statement should be withdrawn. Reiterating the Sangh’s position, he emphasised that the RSS has always been an organisation that respects the saintly tradition of Bharat. Therefore, the remarks made are not only untrue but also unconstitutional and inhumane.
Notably, Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, made serious allegations against senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) pracharak and convenor of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, Indresh Kumar.
In a video that surfaced on social media, the Shankaracharya claimed that he had met Indresh Kumar at an airport lounge. According to him, during the interaction, Indresh Kumar allegedly admitted that through the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, around one million Hindu girls had been married into Muslim families.
