Family Dollar Stores of Texas LLC, a subsidiary of Dollar Tree Inc., has been cited with three repeat violations and faces $294,657 in proposed penalties after an inspection at a Van Zandt County, Texas, store, according to the US Department of Labor Tuesday.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspectors cited the company for blocked storeroom exits and walkways, boxes stacked at unsafe heights, and failure to ensure quick access to fire extinguishers.
OSHA has issued citations for violations in more than 500 inspections at Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores in the US since 2017, the agency said.
