Fear is the gripping Scottish drama series starring Martin Compston and Anjli Monhindra making waves on Prime Video.
The show dropped in its entirety on the streaming platform last week and many people have binged through the three-part limited series.
Audiences have been taken on a rollercoaster ride as a couple find their lives torn apart after their neighbour claims to have heard them abusing their children.
What ensues is a heart-stopping watch as couple Martyn (played by Compston) and Rebecca Berwick (Mohindra) try to refute the false allegations levelled against them by Jan Boyd (Solly McLeod).
Fear comes to a tragic conclusion after the authorities refuse to step in and help, with Martyn and Rebecca struggling to keep their family together.
Why was Jan making false accusations?
Jan had a deeply troubled childhood after enduring physical, emotional and sexual abuse, as stated by the judge while sentencing Allan Berwick (James Cosmo) for his murder.
The judge went on to say how Jan had a history of making up accusations and Martyn and Rebecca wouldn’t have been the first to be in the firing line.
The crypto currency worker was seeking treatment for his problems and previously attended a rehab clinic to help him on numerous occasions, but the scars of the past seemed to run too deep for Jan to overcome.
