Firm must pay for employees’ out-of-town travel time, panel holds - Chicago Daily Law Bulletin

A staffing firm that provides clients with temporary workers violated federal labor law by failing to pay the workers for the time they spent traveling to certain job assignments, a federal appeals court held.The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday affirmed a ruling that Professional Labor Group LLC ran afoul of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) when it did not include the time its employees spent commuting to remote job sites for overnight assignments when calculating their overtime.U.S.
