First case of its kind, DOJ hits IBM with false claims for diversity practices - Compliance Week

In the first enforcement case of its kind, International Business Machines (IBM) settled allegations that it violated the False Claims Act (FCA) by applying diversity hiring policies in federal contracts—a practice that was required by past administrations but that the Trump Administration contends leads to discrimination against white people, especially men.

IBM will pay $17 million to settle the allegations posed by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
