Orlando Heart & Vascular Center LLC and a former employee have settled a False Claims Act suit that said the worker was fired for raising concerns about potentially improper Medicare billing.
Judge Carols E. Mendoza of the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida dismissed the suit with prejudice in a Monday order.
Counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Terms of the settlement—which followed mediation conferences—weren’t made available.
