Former Britney Spears employee lawyers up ahead of court battle - Page Six

The woman accused of helping Britney Spears’ father spy on the pop star has lawyered up.

Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group employee Robin Greenhill “very recently” retained David C. Scheper and Katherine Farkas of Los Angeles law firm Winston & Strawn as her “personal counsel,” according to court documents obtained by Page Six exclusively.

Scheper, who has also represented the Church of Scientology, said in the filing that he “spoke by telephone” with Spears’ high-powered attorney, Mathew Rosengart, on Monday and asked to postpone the next court hearing regarding the “Toxic” singer’s terminated conservatorship to allow him and Farkas “to get up to speed” on the case.

However, Scheper shared that Rosengart emailed him on Tuesday “opposing” the request to push back the date from July 27 to Aug. 11, leading Scheper to ask the court to make the final decision.

“The extension of time is sought in good faith and not for the purpose of needless delay,” Scheper argued in the documents.

But Rosengart pointed out in an opposition filing obtained by us that Greenhill had already retained lawyers at a different firm, Magee & Adler, and therefore should not postpone the hearing simply because she “wants additional counsel to represent her.”
