A former deputy Santa Clarita city clerk has filed a lawsuit against the city alleging she faced discrimination, a hostile work environment and whistleblower retaliation.
Tiana Bradley worked for the city for just over a year starting in May 2024, and she began to experience harassment shortly after her hiring, her lawsuit alleges.
Bradley alleges that one employee in particular conducted physically harassing behavior, including “hovering above her” and making misogynistic statements, which she reported to the city’s human resources representatives multiple times.
An attorney listed for Bradley did not respond to a request for comment on this story. City spokeswoman Carrie Lujan said the city would have no comment, due to its policy of not commenting on active litigation.
In her lawsuit, Bradley said the behavior worsened about five months after her hiring. While she was attending a work conference with the person she had complained about, she indicated that she needed the keys to the “company vehicle” they were using.
Bradley knocked on the co-worker’s door an hour later, and he “swung open the door, wearing nothing but his underwear, attempting to expose himself to Bradley,” according to the complaint.
Bradley’s complaint states that she made efforts to avoid the co-worker, but his comments continued.
